I'm still building and testing the research system. Nothing goes in until a backtest that I trust says it should. When the first dollar goes in, this page gets an equity curve, a trade table and a benchmark comparison, updated as trades close.
How the Ledger works
- The stake is fixed at $50,000. If I ever add money, it's disclosed here with the date, so new money can't hide old losses.
- Profit and loss is net of commissions and fees. Slippage shows up in the fill prices, which are the real ones.
- The benchmark is the Russell Microcap, tracked via the iShares Micro-Cap ETF (IWC). If I can't beat a cheap index fund of the same stocks, the honest move is to buy the index fund, and I'll tell you if that's where this ends up.
- Open positions are listed as they happen. I don't trade a ticker for 48 hours after naming it in a post. See the disclosure policy.
